'Eat Natural, Be Active' has been the philosophy of Winners Sports Nutrition since it was founded in 2005. We are proud that our products are conceived and developed in the kitchen rather than the laboratory.

Our team at Winners includes experts in both sports nutrition and sports science. We believe that understanding how your body works and providing it with the nutrition it requires will lead to greater performance. We also believe that food is food rather than fuel – even on a long bike ride or after an intensive gym session, the food that you put into your body should be enjoyed. This is why we use natural ingredients such as oats, rice, grains and fruit to develop products that will reward the effort you put into being active.

Cadel Evans

“The right sort of nutrition and energy replacement is important for anyone that is active – in cycling it can be the difference between winning and losing. Each year I look at ways to improve performance and certainly nutrition is one of those areas. Winners Energy Bars and Gels help me compete and train at a higher level. One of the good things about Winners Bars are they are not just for elite athletes but can provide the sustained energy boost that any active person needs. They have all natural ingredients, are low fat and low GI, which is important to me too.”  Cadel Evans

So, whether you are an elite athlete or just a keen participant, Winners Sport Nutrition will help you to enjoy your favourite activity more.

I have been using Triathlon as a way to loose weight – to go with my change of eating habits. I started 6 months ago weighing 132kg, I am now at 105kg and have my third Triathlon next weekend. My goal is to get under 90kg and complete the Melbourne 2014 Ironman.
When I first started out triathlon training I went looking for something healthy that gave me energy, either before or after training. I tried all the different options/brands that were available at my supermarket and didn’t enjoy the taste of any until I came across Winners Cadel’s mountain mix Energy bar. As I lost more weight and got fitter I have been able to do longer sessions, now requiring gels to assist with these sessions and during my Triathlons. I tried all the Gels from other makers, I did not enjoy any of them, then recently my supermarket started stocking Winners Energy Gels and I finally found one that didn’t make me gag and I actually really enjoy – Lemon & Lime. While other products gave me other issues besides poor taste during training, I have had only positive results to go with the enjoyable taste during my training and races with Winners.
    Thank You.
From a 132kg couch potato to a >90kg future Ironman.

Glad you like them Malcom! You should be able to find them in Woolworths & Coles – but you’ll always be able to find them here!!

    Luke,

I am currently entered in the Simpson Desert Challenge MTB Charity Race in October and am looking for some energy bars & gels. I have used the Cadel Bars and love them. Will the handle the potentially high temps that I am likely to encounter (+40 degrees)? I have been told that gels tend to breakdown at these temps, is this so for your gels?
    Cheers,

    Angus

    1. Luke says:

      Hi Angus,

Thanks for your interest and glad you like the bars. We haven’t done any specific heat testing of the products, but we have had people use them in similar conditions in the past without any issues – the bars do get a bit softer in the heat.

      Kind Regards,
      Luke

Have been consuming Winners Gels & Bars for last few years now. So far completed 3 half marathons, WA city to surf series runs, Mandurah Ironman 70.3, 3 Dams bike challenge 2016 and Ride to Conquer Cancer 2014-15 and relied every time on Winners Gels and Bars. Personal favourite is Lemon and Lime gel and Berry burst.
Favourite bar mountain mix and sticky date pudding. Just placed a new order to try Caramel apple slice flavour. Thanks for providing a consistent tasty product without any side effects (acid reflux or bad taste post consumption). Keep up the consistency.

I am training for some endurance rides and I am often riding for hours at a time. If it wasn’t for my supply of Winners products I wouldn’t be able to complete these training sessions.

The variety of flavors ensures that I never get bored with the same old taste in each bar. I love how I don’t get a sugar high and that I just get a constant supply of energy from each product. (I use them all.)

Keep up the good work and I look forward to any new flavors that come along.
    Cheers,
    Steve.

  8. Can you please tell me where your products are made?

    1. Luke says:

      Hi Patricia,

All Winners products are made in Melbourne – We are proudly Australian Owned & Made.

  9. Antonia BAKER says:

Can someone please tell me, are the energy gels a electrolyte replacement?

    1. Luke says:

      Hi Antonia,

I will reply directly to your email with full details, but briefly the Winners energy gels, Winners energy bars & Winners energy chews do contain electrolytes. Depending on your personal electrolyte needs they can replace the need for a specific electrolyte supplement.

      Kind Regards,
      Luke

Hi, which bar is the softest one? I ride in very cold weather and find some bars harden up. I am a total devotee of Winners Chews!!

    1. Luke says:

      Hi Penny,

Generally the bars without chocolate tend to be a bit softer. Cadel’s Mountain Mix, Apple Berry Crumble and Sticky Date Pudding should all be good options.

      Kind Regards,
      Luke

  11. Allysa Burke says:

Hi there, Can you please let me know if the apple & berry and date bars are vegan. Also if any of your gels are vegan?? I’m struggling to find some in the marketplace

    1. Luke says:

      Hi Allysa,

      Thanks for your enquiry.

We do not use animal products in our Apple Berry, Mountain Mix, or Sticky Date energy bars. Emulsifier 471 & glycerine are plant derived, preservative 223 is suitable for vegetarians & vegans, colour 160b is derived from seeds.

The Tour Edition, Dark Choc, Nuts & Sea Salt, Choc Almond & Choc Mint Energy Bars do contain milk products however.

All of our gel range is also suitable for vegans.

      Kind Regards,
      Luke

      1. ANNETTE SAMPSON says:

        Hi Luke,

What about the energy chews? Am assuming they are no suitable as contain gelatine?

        1. Luke says:

          Hi Annette,

That is correct our energy chews contain gelatine so are not suitable for vegans.

          Kind Regards,
          Luke

Just tried the new peanut butter and choc bar – absolutely delicious. Is the nutritional information that is shown on the packaging for all your products available to see on the website (the energy, fat, sugar, protein content etc). I would have appreciated being able to see this before my purchase but couldn’t find it anywhere. I love the bars anyway, and use the gels for all my racing needs as well as the bars and chews for my easier days and the gym bars for recovery. All are at a great price, delicious and deliver what they promise. Thanks Winners!

    1. Luke says:

      Hi Angela,

Thank you for the feedback, always nie to hear.

We include all the nutritional information and ingredients on the individual product pages – just go to the product you are interested in and scroll down to the “Description section”.
If you are looking at one of the combo packs then you will need to go to each of the different product pages that are included in the pack.

      Kind Regards,
      Luke

  13. Angela says:

Thank you. I should have looked a bit harder. DOH!! Have to say just tried the salted caramel dark choc bar – another one that will definitely become a staple. Yum yum yum.

    Hi Winners,

I’m a lifelong cyclist (and ex Rugby forward) and at 64 try to get in at least 150km a week. I came across your gels a few months ago after having used all the other overpriced ones in the past. What a pleasure to have a local product, at local prices that beats the overpriced competition. I never go out (or Zwift) without a couple of your Gels close at hand and they are absolute life savers and performance enhancers. I’ve also converted a heap of my mates to your products too!
Thanks for a fantastic reasonably priced local option and keep up the good work.
    Cheers
    Peter

    1. Luke says:

Thanks Peter – great to hear!
